We are strategists, researchers, and advocates committed to building stronger communities. ourvillage reflects our shared belief that real change happens when people, ideas, and resources come together with intention and purpose.  Collectively, we bring together over two decades of experience in research, data analysis, and policy solutions across local and federal governments, and the private sector. 

BRIAN MCCLURE, PHD

CO-FOUNDER & CEO

Brian is a passionate policy strategist and advocate for economic development and operational innovation. At Lyft, he drives efforts to embed racial equity into the company’s culture and operations. Previously, he was the founding Director of the DC Council Office of Racial Equity (CORE), the first such office in the Nation's Capital, where he developed processes to evaluate legislation for its impact on communities of color. With a background in legislative leadership, he has championed small business opportunities, especially for Black and minority-owned enterprises. Brian holds a PhD in History from the University of Memphis and enjoys exploring bookstores, collecting vinyl, cooking, and spending time with his wife and two children in Charleston, SC.
